The draft Constitutional Law envisages termination of the mandate of Member of Parliament in case of absence thereof at more than half of the sessions
“We offer the particular Constitutional initiative reflected in the draft envisaging that if MP is absent at more than half of the sessions, his/her mandate shall be terminated with the Parliamentary decision”, - the Speaker stated when speaking about absence without good excuse. Respective record shall be stricter in the Rules of Procedure as well.
“Not only at the Rules of Procedure extent but we offer the Constitutional initiative reflected in the draft envisaging that if MP is absent at more than half of the sessions, his/her mandate shall be terminated with the Parliamentary decision. It means that the respective records in the Rules of Procedure and the Constitution shall be stricter and correspondingly, particular sanctions shall apply for absence on regular basis. Application of the sanctions is my personal prerogative. So far, we try to apply loyal approaches but if we fail, we will use stricter rules”.
