Irakli Kobakhidze: we will strictly adhere to the electoral equality principle

According to the Speaker, the bonus system in legal terms is not negatively estimated and further recommendations on clear formulation thereof will follow. “We expect no negative estimation of bonus system”, - the Speaker stated at the briefing. 

“We remember NGOs themselves raising the bonus alternative version at the Commission sitting. It means that no negative estimation within or beyond the Commission is given to the bonus system in legal terms. We expect no negative estimation of bonus system. We will obtain certain recommendations regarding better definition and clear formulation of the bonus system. We can naturally discuss this issue”.

Establishment of some limits on bonus is not excluded.

“We consider the upper limit issue. We have discussed it during public considerations. We can establish certain limits. It can be an absolute upper limit or a relative upper limit or both. In this case, we will clearly know the bonus volume and correspondingly, we will strictly adhere to electoral equality principle. This is our approach”.
