Irakli Kobakhidze: we have replaced an defected document with an improved Constitution

“Today, we adopted an improved document. Georgia constantly encountered the problem related to faulty Constitution. It also can be said about the current Constitution. We have replaced an defected document with an improved Constitution with which according to Venice Commission and other international organizations we form a very improved Parliamentary system of European type”, - the Speaker stated after the session. 

“It is the greatest achievement and a historical decision. It was the promise we have given to our electors and we have fulfilled it. We leave a very improved Constitution to ensure long-term democratic development of the country. As soon as the document is signed, all the issues will be initiated reflected in the final opinion of the Venice Commission. We will witness it in the nearest days after the document is signed”.
