Venice Commission has endorsed the final opinion about the Constitutional Changes
Today, Venice Commission will endorse the final opinion about the Constitutional Changes at the plenary session.
The Speaker, Irakli Kobakhidze serving the visit to Venice will speak about the Constitutional reforming, improved norms and recommendations by Venice Commission.
“The Speaker will speak about the essence of the Constitutional reform, the changes undertaken, improved norms we reflected in the new draft and the recommendations issued by Venice Commission”, - the Chief of the Speaker’s Cabinet, Nikoloz Samkharadze stated.
He commented about the argument that Majority will not share the veto by the President. He elucidated that the ruling party would share the veto solely under the agreement between the Majority and Venice Commission.
“The main argument is that the process was held for a long time and all the political parties could participate. In fact, the process has already accomplished. The only issue we could reflect in the veto is the agreement between the Majority and Venice Commission, Speaker and Venice Commission. So, based on these motifs the veto will not be shared”.
