Irakli Kobakhidze expects the positive opinion by Venice Commission regarding the Constitutional changes

“Our expectations are positive deriving that we have already received the preliminary positive opinion regarding the document”, - the Speaker stated.

The Speaker is to leave for Venice to attend the VC plenary session on October 6 along with the VC President, Gianni Buquicchio and the Secretary, Thomas Markert.

“We leave for Venice to attend the Venice Commission plenary session. We will have the meetings with the Venice Commission President and the Secretary General, we will discuss the edition of the Constitution adopted with the 3rd reading and the text to be endorsed at the plenary session by Venice Commission”.

The Speaker noted that the ruling party expects the positive opinion with minor possible changes solely. “Our expectations are positive deriving that we have already received the preliminary positive opinion regarding the document and finally, Venice Commission will endorse the final opinion. It can be amended with minor changes solely and hence, our expectations are positive”.
