The Speaker echoes the statement by NGOs regarding the Constitutional changes related to the freedom of religion

“We can discuss it with these organizations and if they prove that we can postpone state security and put the privilege to freedom of religion, they we can reflect respective changes in the Constitution”, - the Speaker echoed the statement by NGOs. 

“Nothing will be changed regarding the freedom of religion upon the III reading. Only editorial changes can be introduced and hence, we cannot change the context. As to specification of interference basis, it was the recommendation by Venice Commission to specify the basis for restriction of freedom of religion which we did. It was our task and objective. I mean one record concerning state security. Some NGOs consider that if state security is on one scale and individual freedom of religion on another, freedom of religion shall prevail. We can discuss it. It can become one of the consideration subjects of the draft, we can discuss it with the organizations and if they prove that we can postpone state security and put the privilege to freedom of religion, they we can reflect respective changes in the Constitution”.
