The Statement by the part of the political parties regarding the Constitutional changes

In the Parliamentary Majority, except “Georgian Dream”, four political subjects are set up in capacity of the Factions with higher awareness, history, rating and reputation, as well as the number of the members than the majority of the parties summoned by the President to undermine the Constitutional process.

Correspondingly, any statement that allegedly the new Constitution is adopted with support by the sole party is irresponsible and wrong.

Hence, we call on our opponents to abstain from the statements where they deliberately and clearly insult at least four Parliamentary parties. At that, the parties acting in capacity of the Majority Factions equally share the responsibility related to the new Constitution and are glad that as a result of intensive works during one year awe have developed the draft Constitution enjoying unprecedented public support upon public considerations, positive evaluation by the Venice Commission and it is crystal clear that this Constitutional reform will ensure long-term democratic development of our country.
