Irakli Kobakhidze expecting the positive opinion by Venice Commission

“Our expectation naturally is positive deriving that we have already received the preliminary opinion regarding the draft reflecting more than 20 recommendations we shared”, - the Speaker stated. 

He underlined that the document developed by the State Constitutional Commission ensures the long-term democratic development of the country and is in full compliance with the legal principles.

“The new document, the Constitutional changes we have developed ensure formation of the system to provide long-term democratic development of the country. It is the common aspiration of the draft. It is fully compliable with the legal principles unlike the document – the Constitution we currently have. Hence, our expectations are positive”.
