Parliament Adopts Draft Constitutional law of Georgia with First Reading

After two-day discussion at an extraordinary session, the Parliament of Georgia unanimously supported the draft constitutional law “On Introducing Amendments into the Constitution of Georgia” – with 115 votes.

The draft constitutional law of Georgia on "Adjara Autonomous Republic" was also adopted unanimously, with 115 votes.

Thank you for unanimity and supporting this truly historic document” – said the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze after the vote.

The Parliament will continue discussion of the draft constitutional law with the second hearing at an extraordinary session at 12:00 tomorrow.
